Background[]
When he was ten years old, Daniel was diagnosed with osteosarcoma. His father died in Iraq a few weeks later. His mother remarried an alcoholic police officer who abused the both of them for four years. When his anomaly manifested at age 14, it mutated his cancer as well as his genetic code. Terrified, he ran and hid in the woods, where he transformed into a twenty-foot tall superhuman.
After three days, he returned home, bursting through the walls and vivisecting his stepfather in the living room. When his mother fired at him with a gun, he killed her as well. Shortly after, Patrick finds him and hides him from the military. He spent many nights after trying to remember his mother's face, wondering she saw him as a monster or if she recognized him and fired anyway.[1]
Abilities[]
Because Daniel's anomaly is an extension of his cancer, the crystalline blades on his body are metastasized cancer cells that have many more internal protrusions than external. He is in constant pain, and his condition is worsening rapidly.[2]
